Who We Are

Apple Wagon Films is a Thunder Bay video production company established in 2007. We have developed styles and strategies that have consistently resulted in successful video production content. Our experienced videographers can confidently tackle any phase of video production in Thunder Bay. This includes creative development, producing, videography and editing.

Apple Wagon Films was originally a simple creative outlet for filmmaker and videographer Curtis Jensen. It has since evolved into one of the most reputable video production companies in Thunder Bay. Our team’s shared eye for cinematic style and desire to create exciting videos for our clients has helped us grow year after year.

Meet The Team

Curtis Jensen

CEO | Cinematographer | Drone Operator | Editor

Curtis Jensen is a passionate and earnest filmmaker who founded Apple Wagon Films in 2007. He has since written and produced films that have been screened on Bravo Channel and won awards at film festivals. Curtis is an active promoter of Thunder Bay and hopes to see it become a viable filming destination.

Chad Kirvan

Cinematographer | Assistant Editor

Chad is a talented cinematographer and film editor with an upbeat personality. His charismatic attitude brings life to any film set and allows subjects to feel comfortable in front of the camera. In addition to his upbeat nature, Chad has a strong knowledge an understanding of camera equipment and editing techniques. Chad’s large skill set and professionalism make him a great addition to any production.

Armelle Sandford

Videographer

Your video is important, so take comfort in knowing that Armelle prides herself in what she does. She also has a keen eye for pretty things, which might explain why she loves filming weddings so much. However, even if your video doesn’t feature a diamond ring, Armelle will still find a way of putting a figurative ring on it.

Matt King

Assistant Editor

Matt King is a video editor with surgical precision when it comes to editing interviews for our corporate clients. He shares our emphasis on customer satisfaction, delivering projects on time and to a very high standard.

David Hotson

Animator

As a fellow entrepreneur, David fits right in with the rest of the Apple Wagon Films team. When he’s not creating breathtaking digital prints and sculptures, he’s hard at work animating for us. His work never ceases to amaze our corporate clients.

Jean-Paul De Roover

Sound Design | Sound Recordist | Composer

When he’s not on stage or writing music for an album, Jean-Paul De Roover is also a composer. He has scored over a dozen commercials, nine short films and an IMAX 3D feature documentary. He is also a sound recordist, having recorded sound for various short and feature length films.

Steven Johnson

Cinematographer | Steadicam Operator | Drone Pilot

Steven (a.k.a. Steadicam Steve) is a graduate of the Confederation College Film Production Program. He has worked on a variety of low budget indie films and Hollywood Blockbusters world wide. You might catch a glimpse of Steven riding around in his DeLorean when he moonlights as a Thunder Bay Videographer in his summers.
